FOR NONPROFITS
THE BEACON PARTNERSHIP
Length: 4-6 Months
Every year, Seed takes “big bets” on a few select institutions, spending the fullness of its resources to help advance the organization to the next critical stage in its growth. Through the Beacon Partnership program, Seed rolls up its sleeves and joins leadership and staff to identify and execute the most strategic investments needed to reach a new horizon.
CUSTOMIZED COACHING AND FACILITATION
Length: Varies
Seed’s coaches are skillful at diagnosing priority challenges and providing targeted and sequential conversations to overcome those challenges. Coaching can be designed to provide strategic clarity or thought partnership on the organization’s leadership structure, programming, or development operations.
STRATEGIC PLANNING
Length: 2-6 months
Our approach to strategic planning is to facilitate dialogue and worksessions that ground the organization in a clear north star. From there, we use backwards planning to create organizational operations to achieve that impact. This includes organizational, development, and program operations. Our strategic planning process is simple and practical. We do not believe in ambiguous strategies loaded with buzz words that look good on paper. We do not believe in taking more time than is necessary. Instead, we work through a process that provides the organization with momentum and clarity.
BOARD TRAINING
Length: 2 hours-4 weeks
A dialed-in and engaged board has the power to launch an organization into a phase of growth that cannot be achieved otherwise. And a disengaged or unfocused board has the power to run a great leader into the ground. Seed works with boards to clarify or shift governance structures, provide capacity building training, and engage them in fundraising.
PROGRAM EVALUATION
Length: 5-16 weeks
Impact reporting is an essential component of nonprofit work that often causes headaches for all involved. After clearing the hurdle of deciding what to measure, organizations often wish for more robust and user-friendly measurement plans. Seed equips organizations with lean evaluation plans which will not only direct programmatic efforts, but serve as a tool for the development team.
