About us

Seed was founded in 2016 by Dan Reed (left), a philanthropy executive. He has helped organizations raise over $50 million collectively over the past 15 years. He founded Seed as a community of professional fundraisers dedicated to making the social sector more generous, focused, and redemptive in its approach to philanthropy.

Seed is led by its CEO, Isaac Ezell (right), who began coaching with Seed in 2017. He also spent 13 years helping HOPE International grow from $6MM to $38MM in annual revenue while personally raising more than $20MM.

In 2025 Jason Lewis joined Seed as Partner and Chief Innovation Officer, and has been tasked with helping to develop practices that support our quest of activating cultures of wild generosity in and through our nonprofit clients.

Seed exists to form, direct, and catalyze the outsized influence of best-in-class coaches, to make the social sector more generous, focused, and redemptive in its approach to philanthropy.
